In February 2009, the Grand View Topless Coffee Shop opened on the outskirts of Vassalboro, Maine. Seeking employment, nearly two hundred women applied, each for different reasons. Star Cunningham, 22, does not mind working topless and views her choice to work there as one that was easy to make. Lisa Beaudreau, 23, took the job out of desperation, "just a temporary solution for me to make my ends meet." Lisa and Star use their tips, in part, to support their families and put themselves through college, working towards a better life by means of an unconventional job.
