A love story about an inter-caste couple in Nepal, caste discrimination, and how a high-caste Nepali woman finds freedom in her new a low-caste status.Two young dance teachers in Nepal, Nisha and Raj, kept their relationship a secret for five years. When her family discovered their elopement they go to great lengths to stop it. They do not want their high-caste daughter to marry an “untouchable,” the lowest rung on the social ladder of the caste system.
 
Untouchable Love is a multimedia story produced by Meghan Vigeant, personal historian and founder of Legacy Preserves in midcoast Maine. She helps individuals and organizations to write and publish their stories.
